Aaron Rodgers is getting set to make his way back to the field for the first time since his season ended after a few minutes following a trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.
In the meantime, the story of his comeback from last season’s Week 1 Achilles tendon tear will be told in a three-part Netflix special this December, the streamer announced Monday.
The streamer has ordered docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, which will follow Rodgers’ comeback, which will start on Monday night at Levi’s Stadium as the Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers.
The three-part series, which launches on December 17, will also follow his life off the field.
The trailer was released on Monday, and it shows Rodgers talking about both his approach to quarterback play as well as the events of that night at MetLife Stadium in 2023.
“Listen, I believe in the power of prayer and intention, and from the first night this happened, hours after that, I was surrounded by a bunch of really special people in my life, and we just laid down a lot of prayers,” he said.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is ready to restart his NFL career with his team after his Achilles injury.
With Rodgers going down in Week 1 of last season, just four plays in, he’s ready to return to the field and deliver the high expectations of what is expected of him.
Many question whether Rodgers can still be the man on the field given his advanced age, but he certainly has no questions about what he can do.
“I mean, I’ve always kind of played with some [chip] on my shoulder, you got to manufacture things from time to time,” Rodgers said. “But yeah, I mean it kind of goes back to the prove it, who I need to prove to, just myself at this point, so but I have a lot of pride in my performance, so when I take the field, I expect greatness and because I’ve done it before, and so that’s kind of a standard I hold myself to.”
Jets fans will be hoping that Rodgers can get back to where he was before he got to the team.
If that happens, then the Jets can go as far as Aaron Rodgers takes them, which is the Super Bowl.
