There’s a new murder mystery series staring Nicole Kidman that’s landed on Netflix, after fans are branding it Big Little Lies ”but better’.
This love-story-turned-murder-mystery has been keeping viewers on the edge of their seat, after the first episode was released today on Netflix (September 5).
It’s a classic ‘who done it’ kind of storyline, with the added detail that the dead body was found at a wedding.
Not exactly what you expect from your big day.
The synopsis reads: “When a lavish wedding ends in disaster before it can even begin – with a body discovered just hours before the ceremony – everyone in the wedding party is a suspect.”

The Perfect Couple is a brand new series, and so far it’s had completely glowing reviews.
Nicole Kidman stars as Greer Garrison Winbury – who Netflix describe as the ‘groom’s glamorous mother’.
But she’s also an acclaimed author of murder mystery novels.
Funny that, isn’t it – not a coincidence at all.
One fan said: “I’ve got a couple of days off work and I started The Perfect Couple on Netflix and it’s basically Big Little Lies in The Hamptons but better.
“Loving it.”
I’m thinking about renewing my Netflix account just to see Isabelle Adjani in “The Perfect Couple” with Nicole Kidman.
I’m not sure if she’ll be there for main or small roles but just to see her performing in English again is fascinating enough!

Another made the same comparison, adding: “The Perfect Couple is out now on Netflix and I haven’t enjoyed a limited series like this in a minute.
“This is what Big Little Lies S2 should have been like!!!! Such a fun watch.”

Jenna Lamia, the show’s creator, gave us a deeper look into what viewers can expect, claiming that the series is her ‘favourite kind’ of intricate storyline.
Talking to Netflix, she said: “The Perfect Couple is a murder mystery set over the Fourth of July weekend on the island of Nantucket.
“It is juicy, elegant, tense, and a little bit sensual.
“It is my favourite kind of show to watch; a thriller with multiple love stories embedded in the narrative.”
Even Donna Lynne Champlin, who plays the detective tasked with getting to the bottom of the apparent murder, couldn’t work out who did it when she read the script.
She said: “I thought for sure about 10 different times that I knew who the murderer was.
“I was wrong every single time.”
The series has a 55% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but viewers who took to social media to share their thoughts have branded it a whole lot better than that.
