Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared to suffer a head injury during Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, and it did not look good.
Tagovailoa left the game against the Buffalo Bills with an apparent head injury on Thursday Night Football. Late in the third quarter, Miami trailed Buffalo 31-10 and faced a fourth-and-4 from the Bills’ 13-yard line.
Tagovailoa scrambled for a first down in the second half, and instead of sliding, he chose to take the contact.
That was a bad decision.
Tua Tagovailoa lowered his shoulder into Bills’ safety, Damar Hamlin, and got the worst of it.
Players immediately went to a knee as trainers came onto the field to assist him.
Tagovailoa ended up walking off the field under his own power.
As he made his way to the sidelines, footage from far away showed Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel kissing him on the forehead before he went to the locker room.

The team wasted no time announcing Tua Tagovailoa was out for the game.
Backup Skylar Thompson took over at quarterback in Tagovailoa’s absence.
Tua had one touchdown and three interceptions on the night.
Tua Tagovailoa Has Unfortunate History With Concussions
Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa left the game against the Buffalo Bills with an apparent head injury after he took a hit from Bills player Damar Hamlin.
Tagovailoa scrambled for a first down, but rather than choosing to slide, he lowered his shoulder and seemingly got knocked senseless.
Tagovailoa appeared woozy and wobbled on the ground after the play.
Tagovailoa, unfortunately, has a documented history of head injuries, having been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol twice and suffered several concerning blows to the head during the 2022 NFL season.
