Legendary coach Nick Saban is tackling a new opponent: home improvement. Saban stars in a new ad campaign for Home Depot alongside his College GameDay co-hosts Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and Desmond Howard.
The commercial shows Saban discovering his wife Miss Terry’s chore list on the refrigerator. Instead of going it alone, he calls in his GameDay crew for reinforcements.
“Hey guys, the faster we get through Miss Terry’s list, the faster we can sit back and enjoy kickoff,” Saban says, delegating tasks with his trademark intensity.
Corso is assigned to water the garden, with a gentle reminder to treat Miss Terry’s flowers with care.
The commercial is a lighthearted look at Saban’s transition from the sidelines to the broadcast booth. He joined ESPN’s College GameDay this season after retiring from coaching.
Saban’s coaching career is over after he announced his retirement before the start of the season.
Saban’s coaching legacy remains firmly intact. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest college football coaches of all time, and the field at Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium was recently renamed in his honor.
His early work on GameDay has been met with praise, with many noting his insightful analysis and smooth on-air presence.
Whether he’s drawing up plays or tackling home improvement projects, one thing is clear: Nick Saban always brings his A-game.
