With the loss of Isaiah Pacheco to a foot injury, the Kansas City Chiefs are bringing back a familiar face.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Chiefs are signing running back Kareem Hunt to help fill the void of Pacheco, who’s expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Hunt, who originally began his NFL career with Kansas City, was the league’s leading rusher in his rookie season in 2017, posting 1,327 rushing yards. However, his time with the Chiefs was cut short in 2018 after a video surfaced showing him involved in an off-field incident, leading to his release in late November that year.
Hunt’s second chance in the NFL came with the Cleveland Browns, who signed him in the 2019 offseason, allowing him to restart his career closer to home in Willoughby, Ohio.

In 2023, Hunt stepped up following Nick Chubb’s season-ending injury, delivering a career-high nine touchdowns and becoming the Browns’ primary offensive spark. He finished the season with 411 rushing yards on 135 attempts, contributing significantly to Cleveland’s playoff push.
