Rebecca Grant got blasted in the comments and quotes for her take as almost 300 people fired back.
Kerri Strug had to retire @ 18 along w/ many teammates b/c of injuries & emotional pain. She lived when teens wern’t empowered to set healthy boundaries while the adults around them bullied them or sexually assaulted them. It’s too bad adults didn’t grow up to protect kids.

Kerri’s lucky she didn’t do permanent damage by competing on an injury.
This is a HORRIBLE take. https://t.co/UJ4FKfRDuF

Good GOD what a bad take. It’s well known by now that Kerri told her coach that she didnt want to do it and her coach told her she had to. USA Gymnastics was an abusive organization for YEARS. If you wanted an example to use, sis this was NOT it. https://t.co/t3ARiK8ovF
