With 2:28 to go in the fourth quarter and the Cowboys leading 20-15, Dallas was looking to close things out against New York at MetLife Stadium, so they called on Brandon Aubrey.
The overwhelming majority of the bets for Thursday night’s game were on the Dallas Cowboys, including the money bet on the spread.
The Cowboys didn’t play like many thought they would, so everything seemed to line up perfectly at the end.
Dallas closed as a 5.5-point favorite, and they led 20-15 late in the game when they sent Brandon Aubrey for a 51-yard field goal in the final minute.
It was the perfect way for bettors to end the night until it wasn’t.
Aubrey has been practically automatic during his NFL career and had never missed a field goal of 50 yards or longer before lining up for that field goal in the final minute.
A 51-yarder for Aubrey should’ve been easy, but the kick started out going straight down the middle before suddenly and suspiciously hooking to the right.
What the hell?
Brandon Aubrey has his first missed FG attempt from 50+ yards and the Giants cover +5.5.. Vegas ALWAYS knows pic.twitter.com/WDRJe2Pu2j

The movement of that ball from Brandon Aubrey, as well as Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott seen laughing on the sidelines, had a ton of people thinking the league was rigged.
Brandon Aubrey… not like this.
Dak Prescott laughing about the spread hurts. pic.twitter.com/lMZhjR8TGC

Yea I don’t like how he intentionally kicked that ball right. Brandon Aubrey is automatic. NFL been rigged tho that’s why I don’t worry about why the cowboys be losing. https://t.co/NoBlKAnfvI

Is it me, or did it seem like Brandon Aubrey for the Cowboys missed that kick on purpose. He didn’t even look like he tried to make it. That had to have been to cover for the Cowboys that looked rigged.

If you don’t think the NFL is rigged, you’re a retard. Brandon Aubrey is one of the best kickers in the world hasn’t missed from that distance in years and he just shanks one when all of the money is on the cowboys? I don’t think so.

CONSPIRACY: Claims are pouring in that the NFL is RIGGED after #Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey shanked a 50+ yard field goal for the first time in his career resulting in just a 5 point win for America’s team.

Cowboys Kicker Brandon Aubrey Extended NFL Record On Thursday Night
Bettors who wagered on the Cowboys to cover a 5.5-point spread saw victory flash before their eyes when Brandon Aubrey missed his first-ever 50-yard field goal.
Aubrey, who was 12-for-12 on field goals this season and 48-for-50 in his career, shockingly missed one of the easier field goals he has ever had.
Earlier in the game, Aubrey had nailed a 60-yard field goal that extended his record for the longest such streak to start a career by any kicker in NFL history.
Unfortunately, that field goal won’t be remembered since so many people are upset about his final one.
