Former Dallas Cowboys scout Bryan Broaddus has proposed a trade that could see the team land star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The Cowboys’ need for additional weapons was made apparent when they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round last Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how they go about bolstering their roster in the offseason.

Should the Buffalo Bills make Diggs available, the wideout will undoubtedly attract multiple suitors.

Speaking on the Love of the Star podcast, Broaddus wondered whether the Cowboys would be willing to trade their No. 26 NFL Draft pick for the three-time Pro Bowl star.

“Do you give up the No. 26 pick overall for a chance to go get a veteran receiver like that [Diggs]?” he asked “The Cowboys have proven in the past that they’re willing to go and give up a premium asset to go get a wide receiver. Is the Diggs thing so much so where you’re like, wow, having CeeDee, having Diggs [is worth it]?”

Of course, there’s nothing to suggest that the Bills will trade Diggs. But he cut a very frustrated figure during and after the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, yelling at quarterback Josh Allen and then gathering his things and leaving everyone else in the locker room after the game.

The WR also engaged in a bit of a Twitter rant this week.

The above is certainly not enough to trade a player for. But the Bills would certainly consider it if there is a real beef going on between Diggs and Allen.

If that turns out to be the case, they will be keen on securing more than just a first-round pick.
