An ex flame of Travis Kelce, Kayla Nicole, has opened up on the reason why she wouldn’t say hello to him in public if they crossed paths.
Kayla Nicole, a model and sports journalist, and Travis, a tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs, first started dating in 2017 and had an on-and-off relationship for five years.
Following their split, Travis went on to become the boyfriend of ‘Bad Blood’ singer and all round global superstar, Taylor Swift, and the duo now having swathes of adoring fans.
Kayla Nicole opened up about her split, as well as dealing with ‘Swifties’, when appearing on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast.
With regards to whether she’d say hello to the footballer, she honestly revealed: “I’ll probably hit him with, like, a head nod. That’s about it.”
Continuing: “We’ve seen each other in public spaces before but it’s — I think that we’re both aware of the nature of his new situation that there’s just no room really for us to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly without it being spun into something crazy.”
It’s important to note that Kayla Nicole had nothing but positive things to say about her ex.
She added: “He’s a great guy. That was a good time in my life.”
Kayla Nicole also took aim at social media trolls who attack her looks.

She said: “I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos doesn’t impact me. It does, even to this day.
“You can go to my most recent post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career.”
Seemingly addressing Taylor Swift’s fans that attack her looks, she said: “I think that there’s something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people.
“It’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.”

Travis and Kayla Nicole went official with their split in January 2023, with Travis confirming they’d departing ways while dispelling a rumour that he always made her split the bill.
During an appearance on the Pivot podcast, he said: “Don’t buy into that s**t.
“I would never say that I was supporting her. She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career,” he added.
“But you’ve got to be crazy if you’d think I never helped or gave her a couple thousand to grab some food or she gave me some money to go get some food.”
“We were in a relationship for five years.
“A hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about.”
