ESPN Makes Prediction For Travis Kelce’s Stats In 2024

The team success may not be wavering but ESPN believes Travis Kelce’s numbers will continue to tick down in 2024.

After posting one of his least impressive statistical seasons since first cracking Kansas City’s starting lineup a decade ago, NFL analyst Mike Clay foresees another dip in production for the All-Pro tight end.

Per Clay, Kelce will finish the year with 83 receptions, 836 yards and seven touchdowns. That’s 10 fewer catches, 148 less yards two more scores than he posted in last season’s Super Bowl defense.

And while the additions of weapons like Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy should certainly diversify some of the Chiefs’ offensive attack in ’24, that kind of output from Kelce doesn’t sound like it would be up to he or the team’s standard.

From 2016-2022, Kelce recorded at least 1,000 yards receiving and surpassed double-digit TDs multiple times.

Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ connection has been near automatic whenever Kansas City needs a play and that showed itself once again in Super Bowl LVIII.

Obviously, the years are starting to stack up for the 34-year-old veteran. But something tells us he’ll continue to be the Chiefs’ go-to man on offense despite some of the age-related concerns.
