It appears Deshaun Watson’s season is over following the Cleveland Browns quarterback going down without contact against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Watson hit the ground during a drive against Cincy and was eventually carted off the field in apparent pain.
It was suspected that he’d sustained an Achilles injury, with lots of speculation going around online. A popular doctor, Jeff Mueller, has since posted a slow-motion video showing the moment Watson went down along with claims that the QB has indeed suffered an Achilles injury.
“Watson just ruptured his Achilles,” he wrote. “Jameis Winston is inactive today.”

Deshaun Watson Can’t Catch A Break
Watson has been unable to play an entire season since his trade to Cleveland.
The quarterback also had his campaign cut short last year after undergoing surgery on an injured shoulder in 2023.

The footage makes it clear that we won’t be seeing Watson under center again this season, and his 2025 campaign is not in doubt as well.
