Kristin Cavallari has finally broken her silence on ex-husband Jay Cutler in the wake of his recent DUI arrest.
Cutler was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of a firearm, among other charges, after police say the car he was driving rear-ended another vehicle in Franklin, Tennessee, on Thursday.
The former NFL quarterback reportedly made things even worse when he attempted to flee the scene after offering the other driver $2,000 not to call the police. The police investigation also found Cutler had two firearms in his vehicle, including a loaded pistol.
Days later, Kristin Cavallari jumped on her podcast and said she hopes her ex-husband, Jay Cutler, “gets the help he needs” after the former NFL quarterback was arrested for DUI and gun possession.
During the latest installment of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, the former reality star issued a brief statement and said she won’t be speaking about it in depth.
“I wanted to hop on here and just let you guys know that this episode was recorded right before a very public incident that happened last week with my ex-husband, so just keep that in mind as you’re listening,” she said, via Page Six.
“I will not be commenting on what happened,” she added. “I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs, but that’s the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”
Cutler was charged with DUI-first offense, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, implied consent, and possession of a handgun under the influence, according to police.
Jay Cutler’s Arrest Might Be Hard On The Kids He Has With Kristin Cavallari
Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday and charged with driving under the influence as well as “failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.”
He posted a $5,000 bond and was released that same night.
This has to be a hard process for the kids he shares with Kristin Cavallari.
They share three children together, 12-year-old Camden, 10-year-old Jaxon, and 8-year-old Saylor.
Being in school, the kids are likely to be teased about their father and his actions.
