New photos have surfaced online following a shooting incident involving Josh Reynolds last week.

The Denver Broncos wide receiver was badly injured after sustaining gunshot wounds while leaving a strip club last Friday, though the information was only made public this Thursday.

According to 9News, police responded to a report of a shooting near East Hampden Avenue and South Dahlia Street in Denver shortly after 3:00 a.m. on October 18. The caller claimed to have been driving a blue Ford Bronco when he got shot.

Documents note that the caller stopped responding after a while and sounded like he was running.

A second caller, who was also running, said he was being followed and had been shot at, while two of his friends had sustained gunshot wounds.

“The 911 call taker noted that GPS tracking put all three callers in the area near South Quebec Street and East Union Avenue,” the outlet reported.

“Officers responded there and located the victims. Among them was Reynolds, who, according to court documents, was shot twice, once in his left arm and once in the back of his head. Another man was shot in his back. A third victim was wounded by shattered glass, the court documents say. All three had scrapes from climbing over a fence, the documents say.”

“Police later located the victims’ vehicle on southbound Interstate 25 near Belleview Avenue. It had numerous bullet defects in the back driver-side and front windshield. Two fired cartridge casings were found behind the vehicle along I-25,” the report adds.

Josh Reynolds Has Returned To The Broncos

The Broncos sent a statement to 9News after they published the story, acknowledging that Reynolds was indeed shot. He sustained wounds in his left arm and to the back of the head.

The player returned to the team on the same day and has been watching practices. He had already been on the injured reserve; the injuries are not expected to lengthen his stay, although he has experienced emotional trauma given what could have been a fatal incident.

Reynolds and his friends said they were at Shotgun Willies in Glendale before the shooting. They said there were no problems when they left around 2:45 a.m.; however, two drivers followed them in vehicles, and shots were fired.

They all ran from their vehicle after it was immobilized.

Police report having apprehended two suspects, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, on Wednesday.
