Every Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Had The Same Annoying Complaint About Troy Aikman During ‘Monday Night Football’

Pittsburgh Steelers fans had the same complaint about Troy Aikman during their “Monday Night Football” clash with the New York Giants in Week 8.

Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were on the call for the prime-time clash between the two historic franchises. But as always, there was no shortage of fan complaints about Aikman’s performance in the booth.

Specifically, Steelers fans felt that the Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer was biased against Mike Tomlin’s squad, which cruised to a 26-18 victory over the struggling Giants.

Truth be told, you can search any NFL commentator on X, and you’ll find fans accusing them of hating their team. Nonetheless, it was still entertaining to see the many angry Steelers fans voice their displeasure with him.

Aikman probably isn’t the most popular NFL legend in Steeler Nation, either. After all, his Cowboys made relatively easy work of the Steelers in Super Bowl 30 during the 1995 season to secure a ’90s dynasty.

Aikman and Buck will return to Kansas City next Monday night to call the defending champions’ home tilt with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arrowhead Stadium.

Troy Aikman Is In His Third Year With ESPN

In 2022, Aikman and Buck left FOX Sports to take over the “Monday Night Football” broadcast gigs at ESPN. Andrew Marchand, then writing for the New York Post, reported that Aikman’s deal was a whopping $90 million pact over five years.

As part of the broadcast rotation for the big game, Aikman and Buck will be on the call for Super Bowl 61 on Feb. 14, 2027, inside the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers’ home venue of SoFi Stadium.

Together, Buck and Aikman called Super Bowls 39, 42, 45, 48, 51 and 54 during their runs at FOX Sports. Their old employers will broadcast Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady on the call.
