Travis Kelce has joined the ‘Iceberg House’ trend that many are taking part in to hugely increase their house price.

The trend, which involves building down rather than up, has gained traction amongst home owners all over the world.

When most of a house is built below ground level than above, its called an iceberg house.

Kelce, has reportedly jumped on the bandwagon building a kitted out man cave under his $6 million mansion in Leawood, KS.

According to the Robb Report, iceberg homes are the “newest real estate flex for wealthy homeowners”.

Justin M. Riordan, the founder of Spade and Archer Design Agency in Portland, said: “In a world where anyone with money can build a flashy mansion, iceberg homes present a modest exterior while concealing lavish, expansive interiors below ground,”

“The hidden opulence of iceberg homes reflects a modern understanding that true wealth is about the quality of life inside, not how much of it is on display.”

These incredible architectural designs contain space for such luxuries as swimming pools, wellness centres, champagne rooms or whatever you want, really.

Taylor Swift’s bf has started work on his 396-square foot basement space, which will reportedly contain a golf simulator and much more.

Kelce bought his 17,000 square foot mansion in 2023, not long after his relationship with the superstar went public.

The property, which was originally listed for $6.9 million, allegedly went for $900k less than asking to the NFL star.

The house has six bedroom, six bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining space, a media lounge, a wine cellar and full bar. Outside the property walls, sits an incredible pool and manicured lawns. There is also an outdoor kitchen, tennis and pickleball court, waterfall, hot tub and miniature golf course.

Located in a gated community, the mansion sits on 5 acres of land and is more private than his other 4,200 square foot property that he purchased pre-Taylor Swift in 2019 for $995,000.
