62-year-old Evander Holyfield wants a trilogy fight against Mike Tyson. This weekend, the 58-year-old Tyson faced off against Jake Paul and struggled to throw punches due to a knee issue.
Holyfield attended the fight at AT&T stadium and gave his honest assessment of Tyson’s performance.
“You can tell something was wrong with Tyson’s leg. His balance was off”
Despite the lackluster performance, Holyfield called out Tyson on social media. “The fans want it 🥊 #unfinishedbusiness” wrote Holyfield.
Tyson immediately shut down any fight speculation against Holyfield.
“I love you brother, but the trilogy is our friendship.”
After his loss, Tyson revealed that he had nearly died leading up to his fight against Paul.
“I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.”
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you”
Holyfield lost fought in 2021 against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort and lost in less than minute.
