Jake Paul apparently already has a new opponent lined up after his fight against Mike Tyson. Two weeks ago, Paul faced off against the 58-year-old Tyson in a boxing match that was seen by 60 million people globally.

Unfortunately, the fight was widely panned by critics, and Paul’s team had to release a statement insisting that the fight wasn’t rigged.

“Rigging a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the United States of America. Paul vs. Tyson was a professional match sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Both fighters in good faith performed to the best of their abilities with the goal of winning the fight. There were absolutely no restrictions – contractual or otherwise – around either fighter.”

On Tuesday, 38-year-old former middleweight boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. revealed that Paul’s team reached out to him about a potential boxing match.

“It’s an option, we’re looking into it, let’s see, this week I have a meeting.” said Chavez Jr. ” I’d be interested in fighting a champion, but fighting Jake Paul, for the fame and the media, would put me in a position to fight against others. I’m not looking for it, it’s been presented. It’s not concrete, but let’s see what happens.”

Chavez Jr. last fought on the Jake Paul-Mike Perry undercard and won a unanimous decision victory against former UFC fighter Uriah Hall.
