The Buffalo Bills have announced that their ‘Sunday Night Lights’ drone show, initially scheduled for halftime during this Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, has been postponed.

This comes as a result of the poor weather conditions in Orchard Park, where the team’s Highmark Stadium is located, following heavy snowfall over the weekend.

“Due to inclement weather and safety conditions in Orchard Park, the Sunday Night Lights at Highmark Stadium drone show has been postponed for this evening,” the Bills said via their official website.

“The safety of our fans and partners is our utmost priority and we are committed to ensuring a safe and fun Sunday Night Football experience for everyone. We look forward to bringing the drone show back to Highmark Stadium in the future.”

The Buffalo Bills Had Something Special In Store For Fans

The aforementioned area has seen significant lake-effect snow over the past day, which has prompted concern for the safety of the performers and fans. While the game against the Niners is still expected to go on, ‘Sunday Night Lights’ will not.

The drone event would have been a first-ever during a ‘Sunday Night Football’ halftime at Highmark.

The unique eight-minute show was set to feature several Bills-themed formations across the backdrop of the night sky.

Fortunately, the Buffalo Bills haven’t closed the door on it completely, although there’s no word on when it will take place following this new development.
