The San Francisco 49ers season went from bad to worse.
The early prognosis of Christian McCaffrey’s injury is that he suffered a “potential season-ending” PCL injury, Kyle Shanahan told reporters after the 49ers’ 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football.
McCaffrey, after taking a pitch to the right, suddenly pulled up and then gave himself up in the backfield without taking any contact. It looked as if McCaffrey pulled something in his leg, as he was seen limping for a few steps before simply sliding down. He jogged off the field, and went into the blue medical tent on the sidelines a few moments later.
Devastating loss for the 49ers, who at 5-7 still have a shot at making the playoffs.
