Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently raised eyebrows with a candid statement on his podcast, “New Heights.”
During a discussion with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce expressed astonishment at Tony Gonzalez’s longevity in the league.
“Well, he played more than that… it took him 210 games to get to 12,000,” Jason Kelce said about Gonzalez’s career.
“Goddamn, [Gonzalez] played 210 games?” Travis Kelce exclaimed.
“I don’t know if I can… that’s almost 40 more games. I don’t know if I can play 40 more!”
Travis Kelce’s remarks about his NFL playing career is definitely interesting, as he appears to suggest that he doubts he could play beyond two more seasons. For what it’s worth, Kelce is already 35 years old and is already in the 12th year of his professional career.

For what it’s worth, even if Travis Kelce decides to call it a career soon, he has already established a career beyond football. He has successfully ventured into the entertainment industry
His podcast with his brother has gained significant popularity, and he has also taken on hosting roles on television.
As the Chiefs continue their quest for a third consecutive Super Bowl title, fans and analysts alike will be closely monitoring Travis Kelce’s performance and any further hints about his future.
With a combination of factors, including age, injuries, and off-field opportunities, the decision to retire is a complex one. Only time will tell if Travis Kelce will continue to dominate the NFL or if he will choose to hang up his cleats sooner rather than later.
