Chicago Bears chairman George McCaskey was spotted doing the most unusual thing during team practice at the Walter Payton Center.
George McCaskey has overseen another disappointing season in the Windy City. The arrival of first-overall pick Caleb Williams brought new hope to the franchise, and the Bears actually started on a high note with victories in four of their first six.
But Chicago has dropped seven games in a row, assuring a fourth straight losing season. Simply put, the group hasn’t been the same since their Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders on Jayden Daniels’ last-second Hail Mary touchdown.
George McCaskey has been the subject of criticism during the frustrating season in Chicago. If he wasn’t the butt of enough jokes among Bears nation to begin with, check out this photo of him casually hitting the pen during a team practice:
We’ll assume that the venue allows indoor smoking/vaping…or that McCaskey is just breaking the rules since he’s the one in charge.
The Bears will try to end their losing skid when they visit the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings on ‘Monday Night Football.’
George McCaskey Has Another Long Offseason Ahead
The Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus following their Thanksgiving loss to the Detroit Lions, thanks to completely inept and inexcusable clock management. Not only will the Bears need a new HC, but McCaskey must decide if he’s going to retain GM Ryan Poles.
And if Poles is brought back? There’s a long way to go in fixing up this roster, with only the quarterback, running back, tight end and wide receiver positions filled up.
