Joe Burrow Throws Game-Winning TD Pass To Tee Higgins After Cade York Misses GW Field Goal

What a game.

The Cincinnati Bengals kept their season alive following a wild 27-24 win over the Denver Broncos in overtime. The game ended with Joe Burrow finding Tee Higgins for a game-winning touchdown but what got us to that point was insane.

First doing regulation, Bengals running back Chase Brown got injured going down instead of scoring a touchdown at the goal line. Due to the injury, the clock was stopped preserving enough time for Bo Nix and the Broncos to go down the field and score the game-tying touchdown in regulation.

Then in overtime, the Bengals went down the field on the second offensive possession of OT and set Cade York up for a chip-shot field goal attempt. York missed the kick as the ball hit right off the upright.

After a quick three-and-out by the Broncos, Burrow and the Bengals got the ball back and this time, they weren’t going to be denied. Burrow orchestrated a game-winning drive, capping it off with a game-winning touchdown pass to Tee Higgins.

The win kept the Bengals season alive heading into the final week of the regular season but the odds are stacked against them. If Denver defeats the Kansas City Chiefs, who will likely be resting their starters in Week 18, they clinch a playoff spot. But if they lose, the Bengals would still need the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts to each lose one of their final two games.

The Dolphins play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and then close out the season in Week 18 against the New York Jets. As for the Indianapolis Colts, they play against the hopeless New York Giants in Week 17 and then close out the season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are also hopeless.
