Things have gotten so bad for the New York Jets that one of their best defensive players is basically admitting he can’t wait to leave the team.
Go Long’s Tyler Dunne wrote an extensive breakdown about the sordid state of affairs in New York, one with a very revealing comment from cornerback D.J. Reed.
Reed is one of the better veteran cornerbacks in the NFL and is slated to be a free agent this spring. When asked if he wants to return to the Jets next season, Reed reportedly shook his head and gave a very direct response.
“I’m ready to go to free agency, bro,” Reed told Dunne. “I’m ready to see what’s next for me.”
WOW: #Jets CB DJ Reed was asked after the team’s loss to Buffalo if he wants to stay with the Jets next season:
“I’m ready to go to free agency, bro. I’m ready to see what’s next for me.”

This speaks to how horrible the situation in the Jets locker room is as a player is counting down his days until he can leave the team.
The New York Jets are entering a crucial moment in their franchise history as the team is set to embark on a new general manager and head coach. It’s vital that they get the right people in the building so they can establish a culture.
