Caitlin Clark made an appearance on Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” show this week an unloaded a series of newsworthy takes that impact the entertainment world, the basketball world …
And, of course, the world of the Kansas City Chiefs. The WNBA superstar – who achieved that status as a rookie in 2024 – included in their chat her big dream as a long-time Chiefs fan … and as a long time fan of another pop-culture phenom in Taylor Swift.
She is soliciting the help of the Kelce brothers to attend her first game at Arrowhead Stadium this season; over the years, even growing up, she’s tried to go to one game per season.
“Hopefully I can make it to a Chiefs game here soon,” Clark hinted to the fellas. “Maybe a playoff game or something.”
The Iowa native, by the way, flexed her Chiefs muscle by talking a great deal about the franchise’s history and her fandom, which pre-dates Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes and the modern-day club’s three Super Bowl titles. “I was there before Patrick and Travis,” she said. “We were ride or die.”
The WNBA All-Star also noted that she is a long-time fan (and new friend) of Swift, who happens to be the girlfriend of Kelce.
And who figures to also be present at Arrowhead once the playoffs begin here in KC in the Divisional Round after a bye.
And yes, we believe Travis can make the smooth move to get Clark into the building … at which point the Chiefs and the TV networks would like her to move into the seat right next to Swift. That means Clark and Swift could both be in attendance on Jan. 18 or Jan. 19.
And yes, for Chiefs fans and sports fans and Swifties, that projects to be one of those “break the internet” moments.
