Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins will likely be Aaron Rodgers final game of his legendary NFL career.
“I would say very firmly up in the air,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said of Rodgers’ future. “Listening to Rodgers’ pretty heartfelt words this week sounded like someone who at least is preparing for the possibility that he is playing his last game. I’m not talking about with the [New York] Jets, I’m talking about plain last game…
There’s several people close to him who I know are preparing for the fact that this could in fact be it.”
Rodgers is obviously a legend, who will be a first ballot Hall of Famer but his final year in New York wit the Jets has been a complete disaster. The team is 4-12 and clearly one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season given the overall talent on the roster but they have the opportunity to end the the Dolphins season in Week 18. Certainly, Joe Burrow and the Bengals are hoping they can.
