Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver Ryan Pellum has found himself in trouble with the law days after his decision to enter the transfer portal.
Pellum, who completed his first year of college football at the end of the season, was arrested in Springfield, Oregon, this week.
According to Kezi 9 News (H/T Sports Illustrated), the wideout was taken into custody after a warrant was issued under his legal name, Ryan Tristan Chance Taylor, for an assault alleged to have taken place on Christmas Day.
Pellum is accused of causing a head injury to someone else by “pistol-whipping” them. He is also said to have fired off two rounds in an unknown direction, with the discharge prompting a nationwide extraditable warrant.
The outlet reports that a bail amount has been set, though it is unknown.
