The officiating crew missed a huge call during the 4th quarter of Sunday’s Rams-Eagles game.
The Eagles are leading the Rams, 19-15, with less than seven minutes to play in the fourth quarter. The Rams just fumbled the ball, with quarterback Matthew Stafford losing the ball in the pocket, setting up a possible points drive for the Eagles. But Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offensive were benefited of a big missed penalty call by the referees.
On a 4th and 4, Jalen Hurts found wide receiver A.J. Brown for the first down. The Eagles would go on to make a field goal by Jake Elliott. However, the drive probably should have been stopped prior to that.
On that fourth down pass conversion from Hurts to Brown, the Eagles had an obvious delay of game penalty.
I know the refs give a count when it hits ‘0’ before they call delay of game but https://t.co/Jv1FeY0VwY pic.twitter.com/fo8zC0D7Nk
