Lamar Jackson Didn’t Shy Away From Placing Blame Following Ravens’ Heartbreaking Playoff Loss To Bills

Lamar Jackson was visibly upset when he faced the media after Baltimore’s Divisional-Round loss on Sunday night.

The Ravens suffered a marginal defeat on the night, with the Buffalo Bills beating them 27-25 to advance to the AFC Championship Game. Despite multiple glaring errors, there was still an opportunity to tie the game in the dying embers after the Ravens found the end zone; however, tight end Mark Andrews dropped the two-point conversion attempt that would have given them a shot at winning.

Jackson shared responsibility for the loss, having turned the ball over twice in the first half, fumbling it and throwing an interception. Andrews surrendered a crushing fumble in the second half, too.

The quarterback laid the blame one place while speaking to reporters after the contest: on turnovers.

“Turnovers,” he said in a short rant. “We can’t have that s**t. … Hold onto the f**king ball. I’m sorry for my language. This s**t is annoying. I’m tired of this s**t.”

Lamar Jackson Took The Blame For Baltimore’s Crushing Playoff Exit

Lamar Jackson’s statement suggests he blames himself for Sunday’s result, given that two of the turnovers were his. Still, he was able to keep the Ravens in the game, and they had a huge chance to tie things up and possibly go to overtime near the end of the fourth quarter.

While Andrews’ drop has attracted the most scrutiny, the Ravens could have won the game had they taken better care of the ball earlier.

Jackson’s struggles in the playoffs are notable. While he’s a two-time MVP, he will have to get over this particular hump if he is to cement his legacy as one of the greatest QBs in NFL history.
