Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels showed just how much class he had during the playoff game on Saturday night by praying with Terrion Arnold after Detroit Lions cornerback Amik Robertson suffered an injury.
By the time the game was over, it was time for the rookie to get savage.
Arnold spoke to reporters about what Daniels did as the Lions staff looked at Robertson.
“I thought it was kind of cool. When I was praying, Jayden came right there are we prayed over him together,” Terrion Arnold told reporters on Sunday. “It’s one of those things where it’s bigger than football.”
Arnold may have spoke on that nteraction, but he did not reveal what Jayden Daniels did to him after the game.
The Washington Commanders’ rookie quarterback ended up swapping his jersey with Arnold and made sure to put a hilarious message on it.
Daniels wrote, “Cancun on 3! 1,2,3.”
In that game, Terrion Arnold had six total tackles.
Jayden Daniels went 22-of-31 for 299 yards and two touchdowns and had 15 carries for 52 yards.
The No. 2 pick in the draft lifted Washington into the NFC championship game after taking down the top-seeded Lions.
Jayden Daniels Can Be First Rookie Ever To Start In Super Bowl
The Washington Commanders shocked the world and took down the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Now, Jayden Daniels gets the chance to add one more chapter to his historic rookie campaign.
Their win last week sent the sixth-seeded Commanders to the NFC championship game for the first time since winning the franchise’s third Super Bowl nearly 33 years ago.
The Commanders now must travel to the Philadelphia Eagles in the final four.
This is not only a rubber match between the two teams but a standoff that will determine who represents the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Should Daniels make it, the 24-year-old would become the first rookie QB to start in the Super Bowl.
