REPORT: Dan Snyder “F–king Hates” Watching Commanders’ Success After Being Forced To Sell Team

It sure sounds like Dan Snyder is rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

As the Washington Commanders gear up to play in the NFC Championship Game for the first time time since 1992, their former owner is apparently not enjoying this organization succeed without him.

According to ESPN’s Seth Wickersham and Don Van Natta Jr., Snyder expressed his thoughts about the Commanders being good in explicit terms at a dinner in London with some associates during the fall.

“He f–king hates it,” one of the people at the dinner said to a colleague about Snyder’s feelings.

Snyder sold the Commanders to a group led by Josh Harris for $6.05 billion in a deal that was approved in June 2023. He had owned the franchise since 1999.

The Washington Commanders franchise was an absolute disaster under Snyder’ ownership, both on the field and off it. They made the playoffs just six times in 24 years, won one postseason game and had the sixth-worst record in the NFL from 1999 to 2022.

Off the field, Snyder’s tenure was filled with scandals that ranged from suing fans who asked to be released from their season tickets because they couldn’t keep up with payments to a toxic workplace environment that included sexual harassment and work place discrimination allegations.

After years of back and forth, Snyder ultimately agreed to sell his team.

The 2024 Commanders under Harris’ ownership went 12-5 in the regular season, their most wins since the 1991 campaign. They will play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday looking to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since beating the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl 26.
