Some Philadelphia Eagles fans showed off an ingenious method of barbequing at a tailgate party ahead of the team’s NFC Title clash with the Washington Commanders.
The Birds and the Commies, bitter NFC East rivals, will face off this Sunday to determine who will play in the Super Bowl next month. The former’s Lincoln Financial Field will play host.
With tailgating well underway, a few fans were caught on camera roasting a pig in a shopping cart, which meant they were in control of a very mobile grill.
The idea appears to be pretty sound. A shopping cart seems perfect for roasting meat, given that it provides a metal base at the top and a section for charcoal right below.

The roast earned the Philly supporters some praise online.
“They’ll study the genius of Eagles fans one day,” the Crossing Broad account declared.
“Only Philly fans would tailgate with a shopping cart pig roast,” Barstool Philly added.
“I mean, that’s seriously impressive there,” another user pointed out.
“Who needs Michelin stars when you have this level of creativity and chaos? Philly fans doing it big! 😂🍖,” someone else wrote.
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Commanders at home but lost to them on their own turf during the regular season. While they are favored to advance, today’s contest seems like one that could go either way.
