Jerry Jones is staying in house for his next head coach.
It won’t be the big name or splash that Deion Sanders would have been, but Brian Schottenheimer is all set to officially become the 10th head coach in the storied history of the Cowboys franchise succeeding Mike McCarthy, who was let go a few weeks ago to the shock of many.
Schottenheimer joined the Cowboys in 2022 as a coaching analyst, later promoted to Offensive Coordinator in 2023 after Kellen Moore was fired.
The Cowboys were the 17th ranked offense last season under Schottenheimer, granted Dak Prescott did miss an extended period of time with a season ending injury.
