Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles was an emotional one for every Washington Commanders, but especially emotional for tight end Zach Ertz, who played in Philadelphia for nine seasons.
The game did not go Ertz and the Commanders’ way in the end but that doesn’t mean the Eagles couldn’t show love to one of their former teammates in a time of need.
As a dejected Ertz was walking off the field, he was embraced by ex-teammate Fletcher Cox, who called to him form the opposite side of the tunnel.
The two shared an emotional hug and embraced for some time. Here’s the clip:

The Eagles defeated the Commanders 55-23 to advance to Super Bowl 59 where they will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
