America is asking plenty of questions after the deadly crash that saw an Army Black Hawk helicopter collide with a passenger jet, and President Donald Trump appears to have a few questions of his own.

A passenger plane landed in the Potomac River outside of Washington, D.C., after it collided midair with a military helicopter.

American Airlines Flight 5342, departing from Wichita, Kansas, to Washington, was seconds away from landing when tragedy struck and collided with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter, a military aircraft.

The airplane carried four crew members and 60 passengers, while the helicopter carried three soldiers on a ‘training flight.’

President Donald Trump had more questions than answers after it was reported that he was briefed on the situation.

Shortly after Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump had been briefed, the president took to Truth Social to make the following public statement about the situation.

“The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport,” Trump said. “The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane.”
