Eliza and Henrietta Hustzi were last seen on 7 January
A second body has been recovered near to where two missing identical sisters were last seen in Aberdeen.
Police Scotland say officers found the body in an area of the River Dee near to the Victoria Bridge at around 9.05pm last night (31 January).
This comes after a body was recovered yesterday morning, close to where Eliza and Henrietta Hustzi were last seen on 7 January. From a set of triplets, the 32-year-olds had been spotted on CCTV cameras near to Aberdeen Boat Club.
“The woman has yet to be identified but the family of Eliza Huszti, 32, who had been reported missing in the area on Tuesday, 7 January, has been informed,” the force said in a statement.
Police had been treating the case as a missing persons inquiry rather than a criminal investigation and added: “Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

Superintendent David Howieson said: “Our thoughts remain with the Huszti family and we are keeping them fully updated following these recoveries.
“We know how much of an impact this has had in Aberdeen and much further afield and I would like to thank everyone who has assisted with our investigation.”
Detectives previously said the pair had visited the Victoria Bridge, the spot of their last sighting, the day before they disappeared. And at around the same time as they were captured in CCTV footage on 7 January, a text was sent to Henrietta’s phone to their landlady, indicating the pair wouldn’t be returning to their flat.
Originally from Hungary, the sisters had moved to Scotland roughly 10 years ago and were apparently saving up to buy their own home.
Their brother, Jozsef, told the BBC that the family weren’t aware of the women’s plans to end their tenancy and didn’t ‘understand this whole thing’.

“That they wrote a message to their landlady, that they wanted to immediately end their tenancy agreement. We didn’t have any information about that,” he said.
“So that’s the strange thing, that the girls didn’t tell us anything about that.
“They never mentioned any such plan. Even when my mother spoke to them on the Saturday, they didn’t mention anything about it, that they had any plan to move out.”
Police had said earlier this week that searches of the River Dee and harbour area had ended. Howieson added enquiries to trace the sisters would be ongoing and noted that ‘coastal areas, both north and south of Aberdeen city, will continue to be searched and any further information received by police will be acted upon’.
A previous translated statement on behalf of the family asked for privacy.
“We kindly ask everyone for respect,” the statement reads. “Please do not spread any unfounded rumours.”
