Football fans across the country are gearing up for Super Bowl LIX, set to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025. The highly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will start from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans​.

Super Bowl LIX will be broadcast nationally on FOX. Coverage begins early, with pregame shows and analysis starting at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Fans can tune in throughout the day for exclusive content, including Road to the Super Bowl at 11:00 a.m. ET, offering a special look back at the biggest moments from the 2024 NFL season.

At 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX Super Bowl LIX Pregame will feature expert analysis from Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson, and Rob Gronkowski.

The highly anticipated Super Bowl LIX kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET, as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs aim for a historic three-peat against the Eagles. Following the game, the FOX Super Bowl LIX Postgame show at 10:00 p.m. ET will provide a breakdown of key moments, player interviews, and in-depth analysis.

The Super Bowl halftime show is expected to begin around 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. ET, depending on the pace of the first half​. New Orleans native and five-time Grammy Award winner Jon Batiste will perform the national anthem ahead of the game.

The 38-year-old musician shared the news on his Instagram, “Music is the ultimate unifier. Coming home for National Anthem – Batiste xo @nfl @rocnation 🙏🏾🇺🇸 #SBLIX” in a post dated November 29, 2024​.

With an electrifying showdown expected between the Chiefs and Eagles and an exciting lineup of events throughout the day, Super Bowl LIX promises to be a must-watch event for football fans everywhere.

Super Bowl week will feature exciting events such as Opening Night and the Super Bowl Experience, an interactive attraction suitable for all ages. Music fans won’t be disappointed, as rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the Apple Musichalftime show.

The musician, who is headlining the Super Bowl for the second time, confirmed the news in a social media post. In a statement about his selection, he said, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

NFL head of music Seth Dudowsky stated, “Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar. Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”

Dudowsky concluded, “We’re excited to collaborate with Kendrick, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to deliver another unforgettable Halftime Show.” On June 24, 2025, SZA revealed in a short clip alongside Lamar, that she will join him on stage during the halftime show.

There are multiple ways to tune in to the sporting event. Besides the live coverage on FOX, viewers with connected televisions can also stream the game via the NFL and Tubi channels.

For those with only a tablet or phone, the event can be streamed live through the NFL app. Fans who prefer audio coverage can listen via NFL+, SiriusXM, and WestwoodONE.

The NFL Network will provide more than 70 hours of live coverage throughout Super Bowl week. According to its Instagram page, the opening game will feature the Kansas City Chiefs facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The NFL also shared a detailed diagram of the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs, showcasing all the teams the Chiefs and Eagles defeated on their way to Super Bowl LIX.

The Eagles snagged their Super Bowl LIX spot after playing a game against the Washington Commanders on January 26, in a National Football Conference (NFC) Championship GameThe Commanders lost 55-23 against the opponents.

The Eagles’ 55 points set an NFC Championship game record with Jalen Hurts scoring three touchdowns and throwing for one. The NFL declared Hurts’ team NFC Champions in an Instagram post, where it wrote, “Back on top of the NFC 🦅 #SBLIX.”

On the other hand, the Chiefs became the American Football Conference (AFC) Champions after beating the Buffalo Bills 32-29. This was the fifth time in six seasons that the team will be going to the Super Bowl.

The NFL shared an Instagram picture of the Chiefs to celebrate their win and qualification into the Super Bowl. The post was captioned, “For the 5th time in the last six years, the @chiefs are AFC Champions. #SBLIX.”
