Unlike the artists set to perform at this year’s Super Bowl, the football players receive money for their participation—the amount of which has netizens up in arms.

Many social media users disapprove of the payouts Super Bowl players are set to receive for this year’s game. Details about the amounts and other stipulations were shared by the NFL and the National Football League Players Association’s (NFLPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement on March 15, 2020.

For the 2025 Super Bowl, the postseason pay structure outlines the following compensation for players: Winning team players receive $178,000, while losing team players get $103,000.

These payments are part of a structured tier system covering wild card, division playoff, conference championship, and Super Bowl rounds. Compensation increases each year, ensuring players receive competitive earnings for postseason participation.

Upon learning of these figures, our AmoMama readers took to comment sections to air their grievances over the amounts.

“Another ridiculous payout! The salaries for athletes are outrageous! And that is why ticket prices are unaffordable for most people. Another area for just the rich folks!! 😡,” exclaimed one reader, while another echoed a similar sentiment, “Too much money to pay these guys for one day of throwing a ball around!”

Yet another reader asserted“Overpaid!” “Wow,” marveled someone else. Such comments continued with an observer reiterating“Way over paid [sic]!” On the other hand, an AmoMama reader reasoned“Not bad for a few hours. Would pay all of my bills.” More details concerning the story will follow shortly.
