The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, ending their chances of becoming the first team in NFL history to three-peat.

The entire team struggled in every area, but a lot of the blame will always fall on the quarterback. And Patrick Mahomes was willing to accept that and even acknowledged it.

So with that, he sent a message to Chiefs Kingdom.

“Appreciate all the love and support from #ChiefsKingdom

I let y’all down today. I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it.

Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me.

We will be back,” Mahomes wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter

And he wasn’t the only one. Chiefs receiver DeAndre Hopkins also used social media to send a message to the fans.

“Forever grateful to be part of the Chiefs organization, Didn’t complete the mission or play my best game but that’s life,” he wrote.

As did WR Hollywood Brown.

“Proud of the guys , season I’ll never forget , don’t know what the future holds but Thank you Jesus for the opportunity we had tonight .. BackToWork 🙏🏾,” he wrote.

And WR Xavier Worthy.

“Super Bowl appearance rookie year beyond blessed appreciate my dawgs man going out there and going to war all season but this isn’t the end. This is nothing but motivation and something to build on in the offseason,” he said.

Along with S Justin Reid.

“Today didn’t go our way but I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish this year and the last three years together. I love Kansas City. I pray this isn’t the end but if it is – I just want to say that I love and appreciate every single one of you that welcomed me and supported,” he wrote.

It’s clear that the fans mean so much to every Kansas City player. And they wanted to take a moment to show their appreciation for Chiefs Kingdom.
