Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX performance is still being talked about.

Samuel L. Jackson, SZA, and Serena Williams all joined the rapper on stage.

The 2025 Super Bowl was the most-watched in history, but not everybody was impressed by either the game or the halftime show.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was one of those people.

The star wideout was on his podcast when he made it clear that the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar was “whack.”

“It was a whack Super Bowl to me, I’m gonna be honest,” St. Brown said. “I wanted to be in it, but we didn’t make it. Obviously, I’m going to watch the Super Bowl because I want to see who wins. From the game to the halftime performance, I thought it was whack.”

St. Brown’s brother, Equanimeous, didn’t agree with his opinion.

Amon-Ra St. Brown had 115 catches for 1263 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in 17 games in 2024.

Kendrick had just won five Grammys for his feud with Drake, which produced the biggest song that emerged from it, “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick Lamar Broke Super Bowl Halftime Record

Everyone might not have liked Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX performance, but it still made history.

The NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music announced on Tuesday that the rapper’s Halftime Show is the most watched of all time.

“We’ve broken the record again! The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 million viewers,” a statement said.

What makes it crazy is that Kendrick’s halftime show performance even drew a larger audience than the Super Bowl itself.

Fox Sports reported they had an average of 126 million viewers.
