Kendrick Lamar has made history on the back of his Super Bowl halftime show performance.

The Compton rapper headlined the break after the Eagles took a 24-0 lead into halftime following a dominant two quarters against the Chiefs at Super Bowl 59 and has since broken Drake’s record for monthly genre listeners on Spotify with 88.9 million.

Of course, there is no love lost between Kendrick and Drake. The artists were involved in a highly-publicized beef last year, which resulted in the former releasing the diss track ‘Not Like Us.”

The song, which suggests that the Canadian is a pedophile, was part of Lamar’s setlist on Sunday. It clocked 11 million plays in one day the day after the Super Bowl, jumping by a massive 430 percent.

Other tracks, such as “HUMBLE” and “Money Trees,” went up in listens by 300 and 260 percent, respectively, while Apple Music listeners went up by 328 percent as albums GNX and DAMN moved up to the No. 1 and 2 spots on iTunes.

Kendrick Lamar Wasn’t Paid For His Super Bowl Act, But He’s Already Reaping The Rewards

Kendrick Lamar didn’t make a cent from his Super Bowl performance, but it’s numbers like these that make the free act worth it, as the exposure gained from performing on the biggest stage ends up being more profitable in the long run.
