Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae’s name trended this week after social media went nuts in good and bad ways following the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar.
His Super Bowl LIX halftime show is now the most-watched halftime show of all time, outdrawing Michael Jackson’s halftime show from over 30 years ago.
Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL announced the feat on Tuesday, “We’ve broken the record again!” they wrote on social media. “The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 Million viewers.”
His halftime show has been blasted as the worst ever, but the numbers do not lie.
Now, another performer could possibly shatter his numbers in 2026.
Fans began to take to social media and agreed that Tate McRae should be the halftime show at Super Bowl LX, which will be held inside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, Tate McRae, Sydney Sweeney, Livvy Dunne, Cameron Brink halftime show for the Super Bowl next year, tbh,” one fan said.
“Can we all agree on Tate McRae doing the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime show?” another fan asked.
“what if i said tate mcrae would be perfect for a super bowl halftime show…” a third fan stated.
One final fan said: “A Tate McRae Super Bowl half time show is the only way the NFL will get me back as a fan. Those Ebonics i watched last night were despicable.”
Tate McRae Went Viral For Correctly Predicting The Super Bowl 2025 Score Years Ago
During Super Bowl 2025, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at Caesars Superdome.
If you enjoy listening to Tate McRae, you would’ve known what was going to happen years ago.
Two years before the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, the “Greedy” singer predicted the exact final score in a 2023 video.
“This is football, right,” Tate said when Q102 Philly asked for her predictions on an Eagles game at the time. “It’s gonna be 70—no, it’s gonna be 40 and 22.”
She may have been joking, but she certainly got it right.
