Delta Airlines Crash Follows A Series Of Aviation Accidents

Today’s Delta Airlines crash follows a series of aviation incidents in the United States, the deadliest being the collision between a military Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines flight.

The crash, which took place near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, left no survivors. Both aircraft went down into the icy Potomac River, killing 67 people, all of whom have been recovered.

This incident is still under investigation, but it has been confirmed that the helicopter was flying higher than it should have been at the time.

Equipment failure is suspected to have prevented the Army pilots from hearing communication from air traffic control, while it’s also believed that they were not aware of the altitude they were flying at.
