Playboy is one of the most popular organizations in the world, and it was run by one of the most controversial people. Hugh Hefner was a brilliant businessman, but that never allowed him and his company to escape controversy.
Hefner passed away back in 2017 at the age of 91, leaving behind his business empire. Playboy was valued at just over $60 million in 2021, just four years after the death of its owner, yet documentaries continue to shine a light on the company’s misdoings.
While the company may be heavily scrutinized, its models are some of the most famous worldwide, and they continue to garner fans from across the globe. Unfortunately, one model passed away years after parting ways with the company.
Former Playboy model Ariane Bellamar was reportedly found dead in her home in December. She was just 46 years old at the time of her passing. Reports suggest the Bellamar passed due to an untimely heart attack.

A GoFundMe page was launched in recognition of Bellamar’s passing, writing, “Hello and thank you for taking a look at our fundraiser. This is Tanner Slaught, along with Scott Shelly. We launched this fundraiser to help pay for Ariane Bellamar’s funeral. Ari passed away on December 20th, 2024, from a heart attack. While this unbelievable news is shocking because she was only 46, I can assure you that I have verified this truth.”
It said, “The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Scott and I pay for Ariane’s funeral service. Unfortunately, Ariane, and the rest of us, were not prepared for this sudden turn of events. Therefore, the financial responsibility of putting on Ari’s funeral has become Scott and my financial weight to bear.”
