A new report has suggested that Donald Trump’s golfing trips are costing American taxpayers a pretty hefty sum.
Trump has been in office for 48 days, having returned to the White House after beating Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential elections.
It’s been reported that the businessman-turned-POTUS has golfed on 13 of the 48 days he’s been in office. The 78-year-old owns 12 Trump Golf courses in the United States, two in Scotland, one in Ireland, and one in the United Arab Emirates.
HuffPost notes that Trump has played 10 rounds at his club in West Palm Beach and another three in Doral this year.
Donald Trump Has Already Spent Over $18 Million To Play Golf In Florida

Back in 2019, Trump’s golfing reportedly cost taxpayers a whopping $151 million despite initial projections marking him down for $64 million.
The aforementioned outlet has taken figures from a 2019 Government Accountability Office report to determine that Donald Trump’s golfing has cost U.S. taxpayers north of $18 million.
“Donald Trump’s insistence on playing golf at his Florida courses has now cost American taxpayers more than $18 million since he regained the presidency, setting him on a pace to exceed the $151.5 million he spent in his first term, according to a HuffPost analysis.”
Trump and his team reportedly use Air Force One when flying to his courses in Florida, which requires money. Other measures taken to ensure his safety while he’s out golfing, including patrols by law enforcement and explosive-sniffing dogs, also cost a lot.
In other news, the President’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland was vandalized over the weekend, with pro-Palestine activists causing considerable damage to the venue.
A spokesperson for Turnberry described it as a “childish, criminal act.”
