Donald Trump Ends Secret Service Protection For Biden Children After Learning Of ‘Ridiculous’ Cost To Taxpayer

Donald Trump has ended the Secret Service protection for Joe Biden’s children after learning the ‘ridiculous’ cost to the American taxpayer.

Hunter and Ashley Biden recieved six months of Secret Service protection after he left office – which is not a strange move for a former president. Trump himself gave his own children six months protection following his first term.

However, when Hunter Biden travelled to South Africa with his security detail recently, it prompted Trump to look into it.

Hunter has 18 agents personally while his wife, Ashley, who is from South Africa has 13 of her own.

Taking to Truth Social, the president wrote: ‘Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer.

‘There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous! He is currently vacationing in, of all places, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people has been strenuously questioned,’,

‘Because of this, South Africa has been taken off our list of Countries receiving Economic and Financial Assistance. Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list.’

It is usual for former presidents to be protected by the Secret Service but not always for their children, after they turn 16, unless specifically requested.

The cost to the taxpayer could reach $500,000. While Democrats noted that Trump’s own children received $1.7 million worth of security protection when he left office in 2021.

Wild.
