Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins are all in Cincinnati without contract drama.

Those negotiations have been looming over the Bengals for years, and they got them done this offseason.

Chase inked a four-year, $161 million contract, with $112 million guaranteed. He is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL’s history. Higgins signed a four-year $115 million deal, which makes him the highest-paid second receiver in history.

Burrow, who made history himself when he signed his contract extension, will be with the Bengals for the next several seasons.

Just when you thought good things were coming, controversy has already reared its ugly head.

Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins decided to celebrate in an unconventional way. They both pulled out their $250,000 Lamborghinis and decided to race them all over Miami.

Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708) and receiving touchdowns (17).

Higgins recorded 73 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns and did so while limited to nine starts and 12 appearances due to injuries.

Former WR TJ Houshmandzadeh Blasts Critics Over The Bengals Paying Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, along with quarterback Joe Burrow, officially inked four-year extensions on Tuesday. The extensions keep them in Cincinnati for their primes.

Not everyone thought this was a good idea.

Former Bengals receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh stated last week that he was irritated over critics blasting the team for paying them both.

“You know what irritates me is you get people that do what I’m doing talk about this,” Houshmandzadeh said on Fox Sports 1 “Speak.”

“Oh, they’re spending their money in the wrong place.’ Who else are they gonna pay? Who else has earned it? Like, they gotta pay somebody. These two on this team have earned it, and they deserve it. Who else are they gonna pay? You gonna go sign a free agent? And so, like, had they let both or one of them go, there would’ve been a complaint. You sign both of them: You’ve got people that want to complain. ‘You’ve got to build your team from the inside out.’ That is very true. But these dudes have earned it. When you draft a quarterback No. 1, and you give him $55 million a year, you’ve to give him some receivers that can get it done, make plays, 50-50 balls. You have to give him that.”
