Marvin Harrison Jr. is drawing plaudits online following the surfacing of a ‘Hard Knocks’ video showing the New York Giants trying to get him to throw his former teammate under the bus.
Harrison Jr. was shown going over footage from his Ohio State days with Giants wide receivers coach Mike Groh. One of the clips shows the former Buckeyes wide receiver beating his man and quarterback Kyle McCord overthrowing the potential touchdown pass.
Groh tried to get Marvin to blame his QB, but the rookie refused to.
“You beat a guy like this, got a chance for a touchdown. He underthrows it. What are you coming back to the huddle saying to him?” Groh asked.
“Oh, I don’t say nothing to quarterbacks,” Harrison replied.
“I mean, that’s a s*** throw, right?” Groh pressed.
“I mean, I can make a play right?” Harrison responded. “I will never say anything to the quarterback. I’ll always blame it on myself.”

Marvin Harrison Jr. was essentially set up to throw his QB (Kyle McCord) under the bus during his interview with the #Giants — but he didn’t fall for the trap.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Getting Love Online
The wideout is being praised online after sticking up for his former teammate.
“Really came away impressed with Marvin Harrison, Jr. on Hard Knocks episode 2. Would NOT throw his QB under the bus. He also knew there was no way he was slipping to 6th overall. Stud,” Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager said.
“The Harrison family exudes high character and I can’t wait to see this man have a long career with the Cardinals!” An Arizona Cardinals fan said.

Wow glad we got MHJ. What an answer. The attitude difference between him and nabers is substantial

Harrison was drafted by the Cardinals at No. 4 overall and was the first wide receiver to come off the board.
The Giants took Malik Nabers two picks later.
