Last month, former Arizona Cardinals safety and Carolina Panthers executive Adrian Wilson was arrested on three domestic violence-related charges.
The Carolina Panthers confirmed to Pro Football Talk that the team had parted ways with Vice President of Player Personnel Adrian Wilson after just one year, but the reason why wasn’t confirmed until reports surfaced over his alleged actions.
Wilson was arrested at his home in Arizona on three charges related to domestic violence: assault, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct.
Disturbing new details have emerged as Scottsdale Police Department documents obtained by TMZ show Adrian Wilson threatened to kill himself after breaking objects in his home following a heated argument with his wife.
All three charges against Wilson are misdemeanors.
“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a team spokesperson said on the matter. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”
Wilson had held the position since February of 2023. Prior to this job, he spent two years with Arizona as its director of pro scouting and two additional years as vice president of pro scouting.
During the 2022 season, Wilson had his biggest moment when he stepped in to serve as the Arizona Cardinals’ interim co-general manager after Steve Keim was fired from his duties.
