The interviewers who brought the “Hawk Tuah” Girl her fame haven’t gotten any credit for it, and they’re not happy.
While Haliey Welch has been making lots of money since the viral interview and has 1.6 million followers on Instagram, Tim and Dee TV, who conducted that famous Nashville street interview, has gotten little recognition since and still have less than 200K followers on said platform.
The hosts, Tim Dickerson and DeArius Marlow, spoke to the New York Times recently and expressed frustration over people thinking they were nobodies before the “Hawk Tuah” became a thing.
“At the end of the day, nobody would know who she was if we didn’t bring it to light and post it,” Marlow told the publication. “A lot of the audience who hadn’t seen us before think we grew off this one clip. People were treating it like we’re nobodies and didn’t already have a platform.”

Tim and Dee TV Got The Short End Of The Stick After “Hawk Tuah” Went Viral
Tim and Dee haven’t had anyone reach out with media opportunities. Instead, they’ve been left with a messy situation, lodging infringement claims against accounts posting the video without their watermark.
To make things worse, the only people who have contacted them so far were after Haliey’s contact information.
The “Hawk Tuah” Girl is making upwards of $30,000 for appearances and is reportedly nearing a Hollywood deal. It appears Tim and Dee want a slice of the pie.
On a brighter note, they reckon there’s an opportunity for collaboration as they are in contact with Haliey’s lawyer.
