Jaylen Brown was caught criticizing Bronny James while sitting courtside at Monday night’s Summer League game between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
Bronny, the 55th overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, had another poor outing, registering two points, three rebounds, and one assist in the 88-74 loss.
The Celtics star was in attendance, sitting next to rumored girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick, and Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. He did not seem impressed with LeBron James’ son, given that lip readers picked up what he had to say about the Lakers rookie while unaware that the camera was on him.
“I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” Brown appeared to say.
“I think he’ll be on the G-league team for sure,” Gondrezick replied.
“I don’t think so, I think because of his name he’ll be on the Lakers,” Brown said in response.
Reese didn’t join the conversation.
Check it out below:

Is Jaylen Brown Right About Bronny James?
There’s no audio to tell us exactly what Jaylen Brown was saying, yet it doesn’t look great either. If that’s what he said, he was only voicing an opinion, a valid one at that.
Bronny James has been largely disappointing since debuting for the Lakers in Summer League and is having difficulty convincing fans he was drafted on merit.
Time will tell whether the youngster will prove himself in the NBA; it’s still early days. But he doesn’t appear to have justified the Lakers pick just yet.
